The far right – America is now in fascism’s legal phase

I came across this article and it made me quite concerned.

This article is an important read. It is long, and I just finished reading it for the first time. It compels me to share it now, but I’m gonna read it again.

The United States of today seems to me to be heading quickly in a dangerous direction.

It seems for the most part, there is no integrity in those we elect to office. They’re not in it for us. They’re in it for their own power and control. This is not a left or right issue, because it seems to me when it comes to talking about what’s wrong with government, we can inter-change left with right and vice versa, regarding whatever point you’re trying to argue. It’s the same for both sides.

What’s more concerning to me is the failure of the Republican Party to state point blank that the 2020 election was won fair and square by Biden. It is obvious on the face of it. Why do the Republicans stay silent when Trump continues spreading of his big lie? Their silence is resulting in a corrosive legislative change at state level across our country.

I agree with what the article states, that the current state of our country is not 100% due to Trump and his actions. There’s a long history going back since our founding of subjugation, hunger for power, inequities, and ‘the system’ being manipulated for one’s gain over another’s. Look at the Documentary called ‘13th’ from 2016. How the system was manipulated against blacks is shameful and so wrong. Trump is not the sole reason. Unfortunately he has had excellent timing as it relates to becoming the integration point for all those angry individuals who want things to be like they were in 1950 or maybe even like 1915, but with a 2021 fully loaded special effects movie redo of ‘The Birth of a Nation’.

Fears about loss on guns, loss of voting process control, loss of white majority, racial and cultural diversification of our society, and loss of control of the levers of power are pushing the extreme white hate groups to be normalized and sanctioned. We have seen this clearly with Trump and his ‘both sides’ statement, and his actions creating and enjoying the insurrection on 1/6/21.

When we look at our country’s governance, it’s clear we need to make fundamental changes. We have 230 plus years of laws since our constitution. Do you think if we looked at the totality of everything that’s on the books right at this very moment, that you have a clear and actionable framework for how we conduct ourselves in our society? I highly doubt that we would.

This reminds me of the challenge faced by companies like Microsoft in the computer industry. They create a product like Windows, and they evolve it over the years. Every decade or so, they need to essentially rework the guts of their product from the inside out. It seems to me that’s what we need today as a country.

Our Congress with its legislation, and our executive branch with its executive orders seem to pile on one new thing after the other onto what’s already there. Then we expect the supreme court to sort it out at the end. It’s a very scattered and non-strategic approach to governance.

I believe 98% of us came together, that we would share a materially sized common set of beliefs. It is these common beliefs that would form the core of our shared value proposition under which we would govern ourselves. I’m not saying throw away the constitution or the amendments. However a superseding interpretation that gains an extremely high voter approval rate, detailing how we choose to govern ourselves in the 21st-century, is much needed.

So my question to you is, how do we start this conversation and make something happen? I’m tired of hearing everybody griping about the other side and whining about their own position not being fulfilled. I’m really tired of the lies, the power plays, and the silence about what’s right.

When are we as a people, going to take action?

It is up to us.

Let’s make a change in how things are done. Let’s clean the books up. Let’s get rid of what we all know is corrupt, deceitful, untrue, and biased towards one group over another.

Let’s make the change.
